As project lead and web developer, I supported the AEJM with their 2015 website relaunch, designing and building a custom WordPress-based platform. The website introduced unique icons for each individual institution in the form of a graphical representation of the museum’s exterior. a member-sourced exhibition calendar, project exchange and news feed, and a discussion platform for museum curators and educators.
After supporting the AEJM site for over 7 years, I have handed responsibility for the site over to Teunis van Wijngaarden, who led the development efforts for a beautiful site refresh launched in December 2022, in collaboration with Barbara Pilipp. The new version features a greatly improved design, while retaining most of the original functionality and keeping in place the icon-based identities for member institutions.
